  • All wood used is old wood, root wood or driftwood.Therefore variation in structure and color is likely. The wood can contain natural cracks and holes of which some might be repaired with the same wood.
  • Although the wood is kilndried it can still crack as a result of changes in temperature and humidity. Because it is unavoidable with these thicknesses of wood, this is not to be considered a defect. Control of the humidity and temperature of the environment will minimize the effect.
