  • This small unique Songye figure seems to be playing an instrument which he holds in his hands. Adorned with cowrie and feathers on the top. The Songye called upon supernatural forces which they believed could be contacted and manipulated in their favor through sculptures. The songye sculptor/diviner was unrestrained by prescriptions.
