A wooden stool from the Gogo people of the Dodoma region of Tanzania. This rare three-legged stool is elegantly hand carved from a single piece of dense native wood and while the design is similar within tribes each stool remains unique. It is considered as an everyday object. They were also used for sitting whilst milking cows/goats.
