In collaboration with studio Gerard Schoone we created this Organic 3D printed lighting collection. This series of Versmissen lamps are manufactured with the Organic 3D print technology. The results are unique structures, creating an open patterned surface reminiscent of Brussels lace. Timeless pieces that blend innovation with design. Each shape gives a glow with a dynamic light effect.
While not every product is entirely unique, our algoritm determines the starting point for the first 3D printed layer, ensuring that subsequent lamps in the series are identical. While the overall motif on each lamp model is consistent, slight variations may occur.
About the designers:
During the past twenty-five years Gerard Schoone has designed a great variety of lighting, often at the cutting edge of art and design. More playful than design and often with possibilities to assemble your own light. His work is defined by it's simplicity: "If I can't build it myself, then it's too complicated.".
Since a few years 3D-designer and printer Kees Kamper works in close cooperation with Gerard. Kees has developed an exclusive new 3D print process: the 'organic print method'. These prints reveal a distinctive ceramic or textile-like structure, with a sparkling effect. Together they have designed an outstanding variety of lamps all based on organic printing.
