Treasured women
In many cultures throughout Africa the representation of women is omnipresent in their art. This is due to the fact that they are procreators, through the woman the ancestor reveals himself anew in the child. Which is also considered the reason why most male figures have augmented abdomens as if they are pregnant. The women would represent fertility, glorify the king or hold the power of an ancestor.
